12" F4.9 for Carl is complete . . .

Now complete is a 12" F4.9 for Carl T. in Ledyard, Connecticut

Here, you can see the "tandem finder mount", focuser and focuser baffle.
The "white wire" is from the secondary dew heater.

The primary is held in position by a 9-point
flotation mirror cell. A dew shield is included.

The "strings" for the strut-telescope add considerable
rigidity to the OTA. there is no flex evident.

A 12" and 17.5" telescope . . .

Carl T's 12" F4.9 strut telescope. With the Altitude Bearings
affixed, the Rocker Box is taking shape.

Chris H., from Ridgefield CT., received and setup his 17.5"
truss telescope. Here's he's affixed "wheel barrow" handles
to more easily move around this BIG telescope!! Nice.

All set up and ready to go . . .

The eyepiece height is about 86" -- so a step-ladder does the trick.
