6" F8 for Eric and 10" F4.5 for Wyatt-- Continued . . .
Eric's 6" F8 remake continues with the altitude bearings, OTA rings and rocker box sides nearly complete. Once completed, the rocker box sides will be considerably shorter..... |
Wyatt's 10" and Eric's 6" mirror cells have been modified to mount onto my mirror board. |
Ventilation holes make for quick cooling. |

A 16.25" F4.5 Primary Mirror and 18-point Mirror Cell.....
Day's 16.25" F4.5 just returned from the coater with an enhanced coating and silicone overcoat. Nice!! |
The "mask" is used to place the center "donut" in the center of the mirror. |
The "donut" in place. This makes for easy collimation. |
The 18-point flotation mirror cell was built and optimized with Plop. I give the silicone 48-hours to cure. |
The cell will be "firmly affixed" to the mirror -- yet can be removed if needed. |
