A Couple of Projects . . .

John's 7" refractor mount. This is the original mount-head.
The "mount head" complete -- now only the alt bearings need
to be finished up. they are 10.5" in diameter.

A "break" will be installed on both axis.

Harry's 12.5" F4.8 telescope is coming along nicely. Here
the mirror board with mirror and cover and top ring are complete.

John's 7" Refractor Mount . . .

John, from Richmond, Virginia, and  his 7" refractor. The tripod is a Losmandy
while the "mount head" is a rocker box.

John asked for larger altitute bearings with a "break" on each axis.

The altitute bearings are 10.5" in diameter while the length of
the "rocker box" is approximately 30".
The altitude bearings on John's tube rings. nice!!

Harry's 12.5" Continues . . .G

Harry's 12.5" mirror mounted on Mirror board. The
mirror sits on a 6-point flotation mirror cell.

All of my telescopes have a custom mirror cover. Harry's is no exception!

Harry's 12.5" Telescope -- Mirror Cell and . . .

The 6-point flotation mirror cell is on the mirror and fits perfectly.
Note the 2-speed, 2" Moonlite focuser on its bracket.

(the focuser bracket is 1/4" aluminum for rigidity)

The rear of the mirror board has a nice large hole for ventilation. Thumb-
knobs adjust the collimation. Easy to do!!

The rocker box sides and alt bearings are coming together. Once the
telescope is balanced, the rocker box sides will be cut down in height.
